DP and LF Share the Throne after Big Week 3 Performances
Membership Once Again on Track after Week Two’s Hiccup
Effective date: 2014-09-26
In a week that promised many big match-ups and fantastic games, PFVCC Membership once again showed its prowess by having the best picking week of the year so far. After an abysmal 8 win average in Week 2, Membership picked at an impressive 10.5 win average in Week 3, which is much higher than 2013’s Week 3 stats, where membership picked an average of 8 winners. What’s that? You want more statistics? Sure! Last week, 87.5% of membership picked at least 10 winners. Fantastic work, PFVCCers!
On to the good stuff! Sitting in the winner’s circle this week were DP, LF, and SR—each of whom recorded a very impressive 12 winners in Week 3. If that wasn’t impressive enough, the 12-win week vaulted both DP and LF into the throne room where they each were presented with a yellow jersey for the week (Tour de France humor!). Our Week 2 leader, BD, fell one spot out of first place and is currently tied with KS, who remains firmly planted in second place. BS and MS both fell a spot to third place. JP (that’s me) maintained his position in last place, where he is currently re-evaluating some things, and also preparing for his epic, albeit slow, comeback. As is expected this early in the season, positions will continue to shift week-to-week. Isn’t it exciting!
Now it’s time for my favorite part of the week: notable performances! Although she was ousted from the throne, BD’s consistency in performance cannot go unnoticed. BD recorded her third straight week with 10 winners—well picked BD! As mentioned previously, MS fell from second to third place this week, and it could have been worse if not for his successful Loner Pick of the Cardinals over the 49ers. What a pick, MS! In overall membership accomplishment, there were four Consensus Picks in Week 3 and membership picked those at 100%...are you patting yourself on the back?! I know I am!
Last, but certainly not least, one of our very own celebrated a milestone this week. And, it should be noted, not just any milestone. This milestone was the first of its kind and will not be matched for years to come. Enough drama! Our Founder, Chairman and Eight-Time Champion SS recorded his 5,000th career PFVCC winning pick this past weekend! Please join me in my congratulations!
Enjoy your Sunday and rest assured that this President is committed to never again posting the Weekly Recap so late in the week for, well, ever.
Happy Picking.
