MS Makes His Final Push; KS and SR Hold on Tight
A Week Fraught with Poor Performances Sets Up Our Finale
Effective date: 2016-12-27
The one resounding observation heard several times at the Sweeney Family Christmas Gathering (shout out to BS!) was that Week 16 was the proper nail in the coffin for pretty much everyone outside of the top 3. It was a very rough week for much of the membership of this great league, and the biggest outcome of the penultima week was an exceptional set up for the Week 17 finale.
MS continued his hot streak and went a very impressive 10-6. BD reserved a special shout out as well for also turning in a 10-6 performance: well done! What may not be as obvious is that MS was a mere 3 yards away from heading into Week 17 sharing the penthouse with KS. It was those pesky Texans again! Instead of making the jump, MS finds himself just two games out from the top spot, which is certainly still in striking range.
In Week 16, KS and SR once again had identical picks and both went an admirable 9-7, given the performances elsewhere. With our Top 3 clearly defined, and one of the harder to predict weeks, if not the hardest, of the NFL season in front of us, we're in for a grand finish to the 2016 season. No Thursday game in Week 17, only Sunday games.
More importantly, a friendly reminder that Group Picks will NOT be available in advance this week. The results will be announced after the final game ends. If you get a phone call from me on the late afternoon of New Years Day, I bring glad tidings.
Happy Picking.
