Boy, the MIP (Mid-Season Indiference thing sure took over this week. By my calculations, the average of the entire group was 7 3/8s out of 14. Oh my and I an JR "led" the pack with a measly five wins, and JR included a loner in his five. Ugh! Ugh!! Ugh!!

KS, Sorry for the confusion. I was clear that you explained the GOO but I thought since you provided such a clear and interesting understanding of the GOO you could do the same with the MIP. Which you have now done. Thanks

I explained the GOO not the MIP. Buuuut, the MIP is the Mid-Season Indifference Phenomenon. This nasty bit of history shows a predictable trend of members losing more games during weeks 5-12 than in the front or back end of the season.

For those new to the PFVCC the GOO was initiated during the K. Sweeney Administration (although I had absolutely no power, it was a puppet regime)and stands for Games of Opportunity. The # of game differences between you and your opponents.

WOW! BS you are right...what a GOO! Looks like we could have some separation this week.

I think the GOO says it all this week. Things are going to happen. Hold on and enjoy the ride.

JR, what is the matter with the Eagles, four turnovers and 6 sacks. Are they really a professional foot ball team?????????

Oh JD - MIA was not a consensus pick. At least one of us had it.. :) I would have sworn you would have taken them...

JD - I was not at all confident going into this week.

What a wild week end. JD and BD are so proud of the Miami Dolfins win over consensus pick Indianapolis even though we didn't have the guts to pick them. Then, another consensus pick loses (Philadelphia) and a bunch loners win. Oh my, and it is only the second week,

In retrospect, "saloon" seems a better word to have used.
