Members nip MIP talk in the bud in week 9
Effective date: 2020-11-11
How are all you fine pickers doing following week 9? Feeling pretty nice I presume.. And as well everyone should after a week that saw strong performances from top to bottom (even the forgetful few deserve to be rewarded from time to time). A big shoutout to everyone this week on the picking acumen!! But even in a room of try-hards there’s always 1 person that must steal the limelight.. SS was THAT guy in week 9 as he tallied 11 victories and stepped into the penthouse for the first time since week 4. There he sits side by side with MM, who must be asking himself why he opened the door for an unwelcome guest.. But that question is to be answered later…for now SS deserves all the props. Nice picking SS! CM, KS, LF and DR followed with 10 wins a piece which deserves a bit of recognition as well as they all were able to gain positive ground on the leaderboards and give them a little bit of downhill momentum heading into the latter half of the season. We will be keeping an eye on you gents!
One thing we always keep an eye on is our loner board, which was hot again with 4 loner selections on the week. DR started things off early as he picked SF to upset GB on TNF, but unfortunately they couldn’t deliver. DP saw the same fate as CHI couldn’t overthrow TEN in the 4th, although it was a close contest throughout. MM, a frequent loner, split his loners on the week as NYJ lost in a close battle with NE but his BUF pick took it to SEA to ease the pain and make it all worth it. Nice pick MM and a valiant effort to the aforementioned two!
Overall, week 9 will be remembered as a confidence builder for all.. but the question is..could it mean more for some? Could it be the start of a championship run? Maybe week 10 will have the answers..
