LF New Tenant In The Penthouse
His 14 wins picks up six games and the lead
Effective date: 2012-12-18
The editorial committee who brings you this weekly update has seen a pattern mentioning LF many times over the last several weeks. LF's 14 wins leapfrogs KS into first place by picking up six games this week. LF has amassed five consecutive weeks of 10+ wins. During that period LF has 58 wins setting the performance bar way above the group. DP is keeping the pressure on, down the Home Stretch, by picking 12 winners and picking up a couple of games and now trails LF by one game and in second place. KS, evicted from the penthouse played 500 ball with 8 wins and dropped him from first to third place now trailing by two games.
JD, a player who has been pretty quite this year posted 11 wins and has quietly made his way to a shot at the top spot. He now trails LF by three games with two weeks left. A solid performance was turned in by SS with 11 wins and like LF has five consecutive weeks of 10+ wins. Since week eight SS has the second most wins with 72 compared to LF's 75 wins. SS trails LF by 5 games. It's a championship long shot for SS but remember JB's miracle comeback in 2002 picking up 5 games in the last week and taking the championship.
There are six players out by four games or less--it is wide open for a fantastic finish. Let's see who will step out and try to separate themselves from the group. If you play too aggressively you may run right of contention, play too conservatively and you may not pick up enough ground to take home the famed Perpetual Trophy.
No game on Thursday but a Saturday game. Picks due Friday 8PM Los Angeles time.
