MM Takes a Two Game Lead
BS Gambles with Five Loner Picks: Has Big Payday
Effective date: 2017-10-16
The MIP has arrived and was in full, brutal force this weekend. Only three players were above .500 this weekend (one additional achieved it with VTP). One of the three - LF - picked a very MIP-healthy 8-6 to launch himself from fifth place back into the ever-present group tied for second place. Great picking LF! The real story this weekend, however, belongs to BS and MM.
In just six short weeks, MM has spent time in both poles of the Leaderboard. At the end of Week 1, MM found himself alone in the basement. Since then, MM has been consistently churning out high percentage weeks, including 13 winners in Week 2. This week, MM claimed the penthouse with great vengeance, catapulting himself to a two game lead. Excellent picking sir!
BS had an equally fascinating story this week. Upon first glance at BS's picks at 8:02PM PST on Friday, October 13, my thoughts ranged from "was there a glitch" to "was he under duress?" BS clearly knew something I didn't, however, by turning his gritty five Loner Picks into three conversions. We'll have to check with the Boys in Record Keeping about whether or not BS's LP performance will be memorialized. Either way, well done! BS's run over the past several weeks is very much on par with MM's.
After their nine winner weekends, MM and BS finds themselves at the top of the Leaderboard with an lot of momentum. If history has taught us anything, however, it's that the MIP brings great volatility to the Leaderboard. Good luck out there!
Happy Picking.
