The PFVCC

Week 13 came and with it we welcomed December. A cheerful time of year as we gear up for the holidays, but for membership the chill in the night air doesn’t only remind us of Christmas lights and eggnog… it reminds us of the stretch drive! That’s all SS and KS were thinking about when they sent in their picks and now all they are thinking about is history as they posted perfect 16 win weeks! Incredible! KS gets his 2nd all time and SS gets his 2nd OF THE YEAR (5th of his career). History within history as SS becomes the first player to ever record 2 perfect weeks in one season! Congrats to both of you and a special shoutout to SS on another feat for the record books! In any normal week 15-1 would capture headlines, but this week LF, MM and DP are second best..but still deserving of a nod. MS, DJ and KB at 14-2 crack bitter smiles that said “what else do we have to do!?”. All things considered, you are not alone. Usually by this time we would have been MIPPED but membership hasn’t wavered. Currently there are 5 members picking at or above a 70% success rate. For context, the average winning percentage of the last 10 champs has been 67%. Let that sink in and just keep battling. With 5 weeks left to play and the MIP surely taking the year off, let’s see who can stay hot. SS and KS have set the tone heading into crunch time, I guess the question now is who has the ability to close?

We are going to skip loner news for the week as unfortunately for our bold pickers it was all for show. No need to kick a horse when it’s down. Instead we look ahead to week 14 which affords everyone a fresh opportunity to capture some recognition of their own. Best of luck and stay hot!

Your President,

LF
