DP presses his foot on the gas; membership stalls

A 10 win week affords him a little more breathing room with 4 to play

Effective date: 2023-12-12
When we look back on the season when its all said and done, week 14 could be what we point to as the week that DP took it from the field. DP, who has held residence in the penthouse since week 7, put on a masterclass of picking this past week. Going 10-5 to lead the way, it wasnโ€™t just the record that was impressive, it was the complete domination of the GOO from top to bottom that demoralized the competition. Of the members that entered their picks in week 14 only one GOO was won by another member against DP, and that game was a loner pick. Yes, you read that correctly. DP essentially swept the field and is now reaping the rewards of his fine work by seeing a significantly larger cushion between himself and membership as whole. The season is not over by any means, but week 14 was one of those statement weeks for DP as he looks to put this thing away down the stretch. What a week DP! LF, who is the biggest threat to DP at this time did his best to go stride for stride with the leader, posting 9 wins of his own. The gift of hindsight has LF feeling good about where he stands being just two back, but thereโ€™s still a lot of work left to do and moral victories donโ€™t win championships.

There were 2 loners on display this week, and if youโ€™ve been following along you know that 1 was successful and 1 was not. PM did his best with LAR but they lost in disastrous fashion to BAL. Valiant effort PM. NF was the lone victor on both the loner board and the GOO board this week with his pick of NYJ. A great pick by a loner truther!

With DP in the drivers seat and the rest of membership looking for answers, week 15 has become even more critical to see who can chip away at the deficit before its too late.

Your President,

LF
