The PFVCC

Football is back, and what a crazy week it was. As expected, week 1 is about shaking off the rust and finding a groove, for NFL teams and PFVCC pickers alike. NF, with little rust in his gears, was in mid-season form in week 1 as he lead all members with a 12-4 record. A great way to open what looks to be a fantastic PFVCC season. Well done, NF! Six members followed with 10 wins a piece, and the rest of membership hit 9 and 8 wins which leaves some work to do in week 2 and beyond. Chapter 1 belongs to NF, 17 chapters left to be written… who will be the main character in chapter 2?

Loner news is minimal in week 1 as we had 1 featured loner pick by MS. Unfortunately for him CAR was one of the few visiting teams that couldn’t get the job done leaving him unsuccessful. A valiant effort nonetheless.

Finally, I would like to shift the spotlight from weekly to career highlights. As many of you are aware, the PFVCC has been going strong since 1981 when picks and standings logs were kept by hand. With the kickoff of the 2023 season BS, DR and SR have entered their 40th year in the PFVCC. An amazing feat that speaks to their longevity and competitiveness. Congratulations on great careers to this point and here’s to another 40 years!
