The PFVCC

The stage was a set for a postseason battle for the ages, and a battle we got. LF and SS submitted their picks for wild card weekend and the first difference was LAC at JAX- the decisive game to put SS over the top. By this point you know that SS took JAX while LF took LAC and through the first two and a half quarters it looked as if LF had locked up his second championship. That narrative quickly deteriorated as Trevor Lawrence and JAX put on a clinic in the second half to overcome a 27 point deficit and win the game in the final seconds and with it, crown SS as champion. Only fitting that his stunning stretch drive comeback be capped off by an equally stunning wild card comeback, and the rest is history! A huge congratulations to SS on his 10th championship!

For SS, another championship gets added to the trophy case, but one might ask, is this the sweetest victory of the bunch? Being 8 games down with 3 weeks to play and being able to pull off the unimaginable has to be up there on his list of achievements. Regardless of where he ranks it, it was an amazing feat that speaks to his perseverance and sheer will to win. As a final tip of the cap to SS’ championship run, he has been a part of five of the now six postseason sudden death playoffs. Of those five appearances, SS has come out as the champion four times…The one that he lost? The miracle on maryknoll. Safe to say SS is not someone you want to be matched up against when the stakes are highest and there’s a championship on the line. Here’s to you SS, Congratulations on another great year ending with you holding the Trophy!

Signing off for the final time, thank you all for participating in the 2022 PFVCC season! It was a great ride!

Your President,

LF
