MM, LF and MS lead the way with 9 wins

A tough week causes whispers to surface about the MIP

Effective date: 2022-10-19
Another week in the books and it was one that kept everyone honest and on their toes. In our first shortened week of the season due to team byes, MM, LF and MS were able to edge out the rest by posting 9-5 records. Those performances proved good enough to steal 1 GOO from the leader DP who put up 8 wins but was still able to retain the lead position due to other trailing members not being able to keep the pace. Like DP, NF also put up 8 wins on the week which keeps him in the mix and feeling confident. Well done to the five of you that were able to capitalize on an unpredictable week 6. Aside from the top 5, the rest of membership struggled, posting a .500 or under winning percentage which was enough to hear some chatter about the MIP (Midseason Indifference Phenomenon). Still too early to tell, but it is something that lurks in the back of all of our minds. We are hitting the heart of the season here as we enter week 7 and if it indeed hasnโ€™t showed face yet, there is a strong chance it is on its way. Keep your wits about you, weโ€™ve got a long way to go!

We had 4 loner picks on display here as MM, MS and PM were the ones with the stones to be on their own! MM and MS rode the New York subway together to the promise land as MM took NYJ and MS took NYG in their victories. Membership congratulates you and also awaits your duet performance of โ€œNew York New Yorkโ€. On the other side, all things were great for PM this past weekend except for his loner picks of DAL and DEN. Although he couldnโ€™t get a win, he stays winning at life! A great effort my friend.

Hereโ€™s to life, liberty and the pursuit of perfection in week 7. See you next week

Your President,

LF
