It was a weekend chock-full of leftovers, discount shopping, and Mariah Carey’s rendition of “All I want for Christmas is a championship” on repeat…. Yes, football games were played, but for most they no longer have the same meaning as they used to, and for a few hopeful souls week 13 marked an almost certain bitter end to their championship aspirations. DR makes headlines for something other than his impressive loner picking onslaught as he tallied 10 winners to lead the way this week..Good form DR, good form! Yes, 10 wins captured top honors, however CM refuses to play second fiddle as he’s taken a stranglehold on the penthouse and continues to win the meaningful games down the stretch. KS and SS can attest as they watched their GOO’s swing fully in CM’s favor making the pen and pencil set more achievable than a push for the trophy at this point. LF and MS were able to keep pace with CM and currently sit side by side in the second spot, but each week that passes puts added pressure on the next to make a move..Can CM keep his foot on the gas pedal and wrap this up early? Or do MS and LF have enough in the tank to make a push? It’s crunch time folks.. lock in!

It was a successful loner week by committee as we had 4 members shoot their shots and came out with three out of five for victories. BS hit with his CIN over NYJ, MM hit with HOU taking out NE and DR came out victorious taking WAS over CAR in a nail-biter. Sometimes you gotta risk it to get the biscuit, nice takes gentleman! Our not so fortunates include SS who couldn’t hit on his ATL pick over NO and DR goes 50/50 on the week as he couldn’t knock down his NYG over GB pick. Commendable effort nonetheless!!
