CM Heralded As PFVCC Champion
BS & KS Finish Second
Effective date: 2014-12-28
CM the ever modest taciturn member wins his second PFVCC Championship in grand style. CM played the first half of the season deftly letting others battle and fatigue themselves while he waited for the second half to unveil itself to his pending clever picking.
At the halfway mark, CM was in seventh place, out by five games, and then started chipping away at those above him in the standings. During weeks 12-16 CM posted a winning percentage of 722 going 57-22 unseating the season-long first place defending champ and Sweeney Weenie king-pin BS in week 14. On the final Sunday CM picked 11 winners to cement his place in history posting a championship record of 175-81. CM’s 175 wins is the most wins since 2009. CM last stop at the winner’s circle was in 2006 when he grabbed the brass ring with 160 wins beating JD by two games.
In an exclusive interview with the newly crowned champ, CM told this reporter “I am very excited”.
Only BS and LF had a chance to catch CM in the final week. BS and LF had five and seven differences respectively against CM. BS had won three of the first four differences and his final ARZ pick was looking good for the better part of three quarters during the late afternoon game. When SF won, BS’s chance for an unbelievable Sunday miracle faded. KS had one difference, while JD had no differences on this final game day.
The Social Committee is already hard at work planning the July Awards Banquet BBQ in CM’s honor. Details will follow as they develop. Hit the message board to congratulate our newest champion in the PFVCC’s 34th year.
