BS DOUBLES UP LEAD

JP’S 12-1 RESULT CONTINUES HOT STREAK, HAS BS LOOKING OVER SHOULDER

Effective date: 2013-10-28
BS concludes Week 8 with 11 wins which secures his seventh consecutive week in first place. This week’s effort lets him double his lead from two to four games. There is a gaggle of folks in second place with 79 wins including SS, KS, DR, CM, and JP. Each member, excluding sophomore member JP, has partaken in the fierce scrimmage of a championship run as this veteran group has in their make-believe trophy cases 17 PFVCC Championships, or said another way, account for 53% of the total championships awarded. With this distinguished group on BS’s tail, will BS play to win or play not to lose? Every pick will be scrutinized as we move through the final weeks of the MIP and then the final weeks in the season.

BS with a season high 83 wins is a whopping +16 wins compared to his win total at the end of Week 8 2012. But, JP is the interesting story tonight, as he has started to nimbly move up in the standings with the most wins over the last four weeks. His 43 wins with only 14 losses, a winning percentage of .754 has moved him from 12th place in Week 5 to currently sharing second place. JP’s only loss this week was a PITT loss but his scrappy pick of NYG, a Loner Pick, positioned him for a chance for a Perfect Performance which of course would have added him to the Perfect Performance recognition plaque. The plaque is proudly displayed at every PFVCC event. Stop by and take a look at it!

Other notable performances have DR, MM and JD going 11-2, while CM, SS, TB and LF go 10-3. Nice effort but no ground gained! Some milestones achieved in Week 8 had BS winning his 4,400 pick while our defending Champ, LF, mired in a year long slump, managed to win his 1200 career pick, making him the 11th all-time winning member. Congratulations!

A report from the Treasury indicates the vault is flush with cash. Thanks to all members. As a result it appears the membership will be competing for the largest First Place Award ever estimated at $200.00.

Good luck this week.
