LF Wins Week With 13 Wins, Goes on to Win 1000th Career Pick
Membership Rebounds from Lackluster Week 3
Effective date: 2012-10-02
LF hits his season high with 13 wins this week picking up two spots to sit two games behing first place TB. LF's 13 wins gives him over 1000 winning picks to place him eleventh on the all-time win list. DR and DP win 12 games this week. DP keeps prowling around the top spot --out by three games. KS, LF, and DP are the only members to have three ten-plus win weeks in the first month of the season. BS showing great courage had three unsucessful loner picks but did take CHI over DAL along with CM (11 wins this week). BS's six wins this week pushed him over the 4,200 career win mark.
Other notable performances include BD,JD,MM, and TB each with 11 wins. MM's 11 wins gives him his first 10+ win week this year. The membership nicely rebounded from last weeks low win total to the current highwater mark of 152 wins this week.
As the first quarter of play has been completed, we now confront the ugly face of the MIP (Mid-Season Indifference Phenomenon). For you rookies, call any PFVCC veteran to discuss the MIP and be prepared to tightly hold onto your Dixon Ticonderoga #2 personal picking pencil. Past front runners have folded like a bridge card table during the MIP.
Please remember there is a Thursday game and I am still looking for dues. Please send dues as soon as possible as the pleasant, cajoling and coaxing collection approach will turn ugly and Guido, head of accounts, will be called to make visits.
