Week 10: The MIP Settles In (Please Go Away)
KS Continues Cruising; Takes Commanding Two Game Lead
Effective date: 2016-11-14
A few weeks back, there was some chatter that the MIP may have arrived early, and it certainly felt like it. Last week, Week 9, would have this splendid community thinking that we got the best of the beast. Then Week 10 came, saw, and conquered. There were only five players this week above .500. Only three of those players, KS, SR, and SS have been (and continue to be) in contention up to this point (participation trophies for DP and DR for being above average as well โ weโre all special).
KS is the big winner this week. With his 8-6 performance, he either picked up games on the top five or remained even from last week. The biggest shift being his now two game lead over LF, after being even last week, and a game back after Week 8. KS is sitting pretty and enjoying his solitude at the top of the mountain. We all know the MIP is indiscriminate when picking targets (just ask fan favorite BS), so weโll see if the boogeyman returns next week.
Other news includes JP (yourโs truly) making a successful Loner Pick of TEN over GB, which is his second Loner Pick in as many weeks. And a special shout out to that Loner Pick for being the only thing that kept JP at .500 (whew).
As SS always kindly reminds us, make sure you get your Thursday picks in.
Happy Picking.
